Locanda Val d'Orcia

A warm welcome by the owner, we were slightly too early but were still warmly welcomed in and were assigned a table. We were given the menu, and drinks were ordered. While trying to choose from the lovely dishes on the menu, we were given a bowl of delicious bread toasted with olive oil. Sounds simple but tasted very good! All three meals we ordered were delicious! See picture. So was the matching wine. Should you get the chance to dine here, I can only heartily recommend it! Simply AMAZING food and amazing local wine. High quality ingredients cooked and prepared beautifully. All flavors on the dishes were balanced and everything was made from scratch. The cherry on top of the cake was the friendly and approachable owner.

Lovely place and delicious vegetarian food and wine! Our Airbnb host recommended it and we also went there because it was the closest restaurant to us. They brought the bread bowl with 2 types of bread - the one with olive oil and salt was out of this world. The house wine was great - I asked which one was it but only remember it's name ending with d'orcia. We ordered the stuffed zucchini flowers, vegetarian pici, vegetarian gnocchi, house white wine, and ended with tiramisu. Everything was delicious and you could tell it was freshly made. Our favourite was the pici - maybe because it's from this region. And ofc the creamy lightweight tiramisu. I was so glad to see vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options on the menu. Everyone who worked there knew good conversational English and were very nice to us (who only knew some basic Duolingo level Italian).

I had pici with a glass of wine and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was so fresh and really delicious. The owner and all the staff were friendly. The garden area was chill and good for dining on a summer night.

Excellent food, great host, good vibes. Ate here a couple of times during our weekend trip to Campiglia d’Orcia and the quality of the food was consistently high. From pasta, to meats, to the selection of local pecorino cheeses.

My son and I were nearby and were lucky enough to find this amazing restaurant in part through Google reviews so I wanted to add my support. When you arrive in a small town like this speaking only "travel" Italian you are a bit nervous but those fears were quickly put to rest. Our lunch at this lovely restaurant in this lovely town was simply magical and one of the best meals we had in Italy. The people and food here cannot be beat. I think everything here is good but we particularly enjoyed the Pici. After your meal go ahead and climb the hill to the tower, the view is amazing!

Exceptional food! We spontaneously stopped by with my wife and our dog for dinner. The host was very friendly, welcomed us warmly, and let all of us in. The food was just amazing — a perfectly prepared steak and the best tartare we've tasted so far during our vacation in Tuscany. The red wine was excellent, and the coffee after dinner was very good as well. We definitely recommend visiting this cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere!

Very friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. The food was excellent~ especially the cold cuts board, which was fresh, generous, and beautifully presented. A great spot for lunch, highly recommended!
